There is a new version of tiny umbrella that just came out. Try downloading it here and try that:

I am having the exact same issue. I have several devices (iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 1) running an assortment of iOS 4.33, iOS 5.0, iOS 5.0.1) and Tiny Umbrella does not detect any of them. I am running the latest version of TU and Java and am running Windows 7 64bit OS. On a side note, I created a Windows XP VM and TU does detect the devices in that environment so I am lead to believe it is a software conflict. Regardless of the issue, I really need to figure this out as it is incredible hard and inconvenient to restore using TU to preserve the baseband via a VM. Has anyone found a solution?

Have you tried going to tiny umbrella, right clicking it, going to properties and clicking 'unblock'?

It might have something to do with iTunes. When I downgraded my iTunes it stopped detecting my iPhone. But when it was updated, it detected it. Weird how software works like that.

TinyUmbrella and iTunes have to be in the same architecture 32bit <=> 32bit or 64bit <=> 64bit
as its said in this article: http://www.idownloadblog.com/2015/03/22/new-tinyumbrella-8-2-0-41-beta-released/.
I have tried this with 64bit :
* Latest TinyUmbrella beta version 8-2-0-60.
* Not Latest iTunes version (version beyond latest iTunes 12.1.2).
but same issue.
Now i'm in the way of trying LATEST versions of both with 32bit arch this time, may be TU must run with latest iTunes version in addition to same architecture !!!!

I had the same issue with my IPhone 4s ios7. TU did not detect device. Finally got it to detect device after downloaded and installing Java, TU and ITunes all in 64bit. Same architecture needed.
