Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > iPad 1 not detected "Plug in your iDevice to begin."

I downloaded Absinthe 2.0.4 for the iPad 1 with firmware version 5.1.1 and extracted the files. With the iPad plugged in before starting software or attaching iPad after software has started I am stuck on the 'Plug in your iDevice to begin' and the 'jailbreak' button is not functional. I have tried this on two different computers running Windows 7 without iTunes installed. I have also done a full device reset. Thanks for any suggestions. If I can jailbreak my device with this software I will definitely send a donation.
