Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > Downgrading from 4.3.5 to 4.3.3?

Hi

I found a site that claims you can revert back to the 4.3.3 version of iTunes for the iPhone, iPad,iPod. Is this really possible?

Thanks
Rachel

Hi Rachel,

What is your current firmware?

September 22, 2011 | Registered CommenterLuke Abell

Just a while guess here, but based on the title I'd guess she wants to downgrade from 4.3.5 (her current firmware) to 4.3.3

Thanks Andrew lol, missed the title.

Have you jailbroken before you upgraded to 4.3.5 Rachel?

September 22, 2011 | Registered CommenterLuke Abell

No. I have never jailbroken. I have an iPhone 4 and an ipad2 I want to jailbreak, but they are both version 4.3.5.

Rachel,

Unfortunately it is impossible to jailbreak your iPad 2, as the only firmware that is supported is 4.3.3. (It is not possible to downgrade unless you have jailbroken it in the past)

As for your iPhone 4, it is possible to jailbreak, but it is a "tethered" jailbreak. You can find out more here: http://www.guidemyjailbreak.com/how-to-jailbreak-iphone-4-435/

It is not possible to downgrade any device unless you have jailbroken in the past.

Hope this helps!

Should I go ahead and tether, or will there be a time when the 4.3.5 will be unteathered?

September 23, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterRachele0831

I highly doubt an untethered jailbreak for 4.3.5 will be out anytime soon. When iOS5 comes out, I hear there will be a untethered jailbreak. I'm not sure how long it will take for it to come out though.

Stay tuned to this site for help jailbreaking iOS5 jailbreak.

Hope this helps!

Hi i´m having provblems with my iphone 4, i jailbroke it, but at the time i updated it to the 4.3.4 (8K2) any of my apps work, i cant even see my cyndya icon, what i can do?

September 23, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterGabo

HI Gabo,

What do you mean at the time? What apps don't work?

September 23, 2011 | Registered CommenterLuke Abell

I believe Gabo has pressed the update button in itunes, as opposed to the restore button, so he can still see cydia app icons and such but they are unusable. If this is the case Gabo, you will have to RESTORE to 4.3.5, you will lose your jailbreak and cydia tweaks and apps.....once on 4.3.5 you can jailbreak with Redsn0w but it will be a tethered jailbreak.
