Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > No jailbreak icon

I have followed your guide on how to jailbreak my ipad. I get to the part when it asks me to tap jailbreak icon, when I check ipad there is no jailbreak icon.

well that's a new one. You're absolutely sure? check all the screens and folders just in case, and look for an icon like the one in the video. Worst case you can get around the problem by doing the following:

back up your device in itunes, then restore in itunes.
on the ipad itself, set up as a new device and get into the ipad. don't touch itunes yet.
perform the jailbreak (use evasi0n this time, do a proper untethered jailbreak), including the step on Luke's guide of opening Cydia for the first time to load the file system
open itunes again and restore from your backup to get everything back on your device.

same problem here. I got a 5.1.1 iPad gen 1 with 64GB and 3G. The iPad doesn't seem to "shut down" in between either and when I run absinthe it says there was a problem, removes the changes and offers me to try again after unplugging and plugging it in again.

I'm having the same problem. there is no "jailbreak" icon to click on, even after following the above. comes to that screen, but no jailbreak to click on to get it to begin. So now what? cant get any further, I even tried downloading it aggain, and still the same. so its an issue with the download. im using windiws by the way.
