Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > Will jail breaking my device effect my settings?

I got my iPad when I enrolled into a college course, they warned me that if I changed my settings or restored it as a new device that I will no longer be able to use their Internet. I want to jailbreak my device but I'm worried that it will effect their settings.
