Firmware is the same thing as os.
If you open up cydia and look on the first page, what "SHSH" do you see? They should be at the top.

sorry! if i am too ignorant about this stuff...but on the cydia first page shsh: ios 4.1, 4.2.1+, 4.3.3, 4.3.5, is written on the top over "welcome to cydia"
