Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > I am trying to restore my iphone 3gs but keep getting error 3194 DESPERATE PLEASE HELP!

I need help restoring my iphone. i have tried the host folder thing with this "74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com" but it still gives me error code 3194. please help. a video guide might be helpful also.

try going to itunes and click restore

Great advice... Unfortunately i have tried this already. By doing this i am getting the error code 3194. looked it up on previous posts and it says you have to change the hosts folder and put "74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com" at the bottom and save it. then put the phone into dfu mode and click restore on itunes. I did all this and i still get the error message 3194.

4.3.5 i think.

Apple no longer signs 4.3.5 (I don't believe) - Try restoring to 5.0

You need SHSH for 4.3.5 try tinyumbrella there are a lot of videos in youtube on how
to use tinyumbrella , and if you are not in the moon of it go and download ios 5 google has the link and bring your iphone into dvu mod and do shift+restore then chose ios 5 then let itunes do its job (if you have an simlocked iphone do not forget to preserve baseband with redsn0w or sn0breez )

Just hit the restore button in iTunes. It should restore to iOS5. Let us know if that works for you.
