Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > I have an iPhone 4 tethered jailbroken running 5.0. How do I get to untethered jailbreak 5.0.1?

Should I first install the update 5.0.1 from iTunes and then jailbreak untethered? Or is there shorter way? Are there any points tha I should pay attention to?

If I were you I would restore, not update. This makes things work much better.

Actually, you need to restore to 5.0.1.

Then just jailbreak with our guide using redsn0w and you should be good to go!
