nice! what steps would you recommend someone taking if they're currently jailbroken on 5.0.1 and want to upgrade to 5.1, rejailbreak, and get everything set up again?

@Terry I wouldn't recommend updating! You will lose your untethered jailbreak! Stay on 5.1 until the untethered version comes out.

sorry I should have been more specific. I plan on waiting for the untethered jailbreak. I'm just wondering when that happens, what I should anticipate doing. Is there a good way to backup/restore cydia apps and tweaks in conjunction with an iOS upgrade? I know an icloud backup should handle all of the apple-approved stuff (photos, app store, texts, etc).

Absolutely, @Luke. I think it fits the theme of your site nicely and will be an issue everyone who comes here will have to deal with eventually. I love the idea of a video and would be all for it :)

Hi Luke,

I'm hopeful bumping this post will make it noticeable again. Now that 5.1.1 untethered is finally out, do you still have plans to work on instructions for upgrading a jailbroken device from one version to another while retaining all its jailbroken settings?
