Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > I've made a terrible mistake. I've updated to 5.1.1

I had a 3GS with jailbroken 4.0.1 and out of utter stupidity I updated to 5.1.1. My iPhone was supposed to be neverlocked ... now the SIM card is not working.
I still have the last back-up.
Is there any way to reverse this ?
Please, Luke, i'm begging you ...

I'm not an unlock expert, I'm a jailbreak expert. I will try to help you though.

What is your carrier? Is it factory unlocked? How was it unlocked before updating?

My carrier is Orange.
I originally bought it from a guy (it means that it's second-hand) and he said it was neverlocked. I started googling things and I found out that iOS5 removes any kind of unlock (be it factory or not, sigh).
I managed to hacktivate it using redsn0w jailbreak, I installed ultrasn0w and now when I insert my SIM card it stays stuck on "Searching...". I also found out that my baseband is 05.16.05, which is currently unlockable if I'm correct.
Mostly from my point of view, I have to wait for an unlock method to be released.
Sigh.

Alex I have had a similar problem and I found a company that does this for you via the Internet at very reasonable prices when I go back to work on Monday I will have a look on my computer and send you a link from [email protected]
