I just got an iphone 4s 16gb about a week ago. My first apple product after a couple of years experimenting with android - rooting, etc. Came across this website and very much liked the way it's put together and the clarity and ease of instructions.
I got my phone updated to 5.1.1 before jailbreaking. Then I went ahead and jailbroke it using Absinthe as guided in the videos for my respective firmware version. Did not get any errors or issues in the process. However, my cellular data stopped working (Sprint).
My wifi worked and I did get to play a bit with cydia and what not. I tried everything i knew to try - power-cycled, reset network settings, verified my cellular data was "on", triple checked all my settings, called sprint and verified that we did not have any outages in our area and that my account was provisioned with correct iphone compatible data plan and still no cellular data - wifi works but not without it. I had to restore phone and remove jailbreak which i did not want to do but it instantly fixed the issue and i was online right after. Are there any known issues with Sprint iphone 4s and this jailbreaking guide? Anyone else reported anything similar? I really want to jailbreak it again but want to check first if it's anything known. Sprint tech had me on hold for a while until eventually she came back and said i needed to reset my phone which i that point i already knew it was a device related issue and sprint wasn't gonna help. If no one had it then I'll be the first one to report it. 5.1.1 (9B206)
