Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > Unjailbroken iPad 2 iOS 5.1 want to upgrade to ios 5.1.1 not iOS 6

So I downloaded the 5.1.1 firmware from third party site..I open iTunes and press alt and hit the restore button... I get the error The iPad could not be restored because the firmware is not compatible...I have downloaded the right firmware.. I think apple stopped ios 5.1.1 after the launch of ios 6 but I m not sure about. I tried the other way..pressed restore button from iTunes but it is forcing me to restore and upgrade which I don't want to upgrade.. So what do I do?? Is there a way for never jail broken iPad 2 iOS 5.1 to upgrade to ios 5.1.1 without upgrading to ios 6???

The newest version of redsn0w is supposed to do what you're describing. No, I haven't done this myself, nor do I know the steps. This page should point you in the right direction though:
