if there is a tethered jailbreak available for iOS6 on the iPhone 4, how can I find it? I can't seem to see it on your website...
and do I need to restore my phone to its non-jailbroken past first?

Upgrading to ios 6 will automatically remove your jailbreak so no extra steps needed there. As for the how-to: Luke is deciding whether to make a video for the tethered jailbreak or if he should just wait until an untethered jailbreak is released for newer devices. You can take the plunge yourself in the meantime, though, using the newest version of redsn0w: http://blog.iphone-dev.org/
