Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > I have a jail broken Ipad 2 with Ver. 5.1.1 software and am trying to restore the unit without updating to Ver. 6. I have followed your instructions using TinyUmbrella as well as downloading the firmware necessary but as soon as Itunes tries to install

I get error message saying "The Ipad could not be restored, an unknown error has occurred (11).
Please HELP!!!

I've had a couple people tell me Luke's tinyumbrella guide didn't work for them. It may be outdated, or his blob source is no good, or I'm not sure.

At any rate, the newest version of redsn0w can also do what you're asking. I haven't done it myself to walk you through the process, but this should point you in the right direction:

Sorry- tinyumbrella is outdated. You need to use redsn0w (as described by terry).

I may do a video guide for this soon.
