Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > I had bricked my iPhone once, is it safe to try again?

I had bricked my iPhone 3GS(new bootrom) while jailbreaking it tethered to 4.3.5. It was fixed somehow & is now on 5.0.1(not jailbroken) but I have 4.1 SHSH saved. Should I downgrade & jailbreak or wait for latest untethered jailbreak or not jailbreak at all?

If I were you, I would wait until the un-tethered jailbreak comes out for iOS5. It shouldn't be much longer! (Hopefully)

But on the jailbreakqa.com they say that the jailbreak may be possible only for ios5 not 5.0.1

Update: I tried to downgrade to ios4.1(stock) using TU. Got error 1015 and recovery loop. Couldn't kick it out of recovery loop with TU or iREB. Fix restore on TU did not work either(600000ms giving up!!!). So I restored back to 5.0.1
It was normal DFU. Should I try pwned DFU before restoring? Or use custom IPSW?

No one knows when and what jailbreak will be released. It is possible that 5.0.1 will break the jailbreak, but personally, I doubt that.

You could try to make a custom ISPW for the restore. I've never done that before :(

If you find an answer, please post it back here! I'm sure others are having this issue as well.
