Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > Apple officially updated to 5.1, is it possible now to restore to 5.0.1 and jailbreak ?

I have a jailbroken 3gs with 4.0.1 and I was wondering if I still update (restore?) to 5.0.1 and jailbreak.

Well, I'd like to try that, but it seems that TinyUmbrella's TSS server is not running. Should I continue or wait ?
By the way, my 3gs is neverlocked so that means it won't affect my baseband, right ?

I said in the other post to skip the tiny umbrella step. No worries though. Did it work for you?

Just hold down option (on mac) or shift (on windows) and select the 5.0.1 IPSW you downloaded from the step in the video.

Let me know if that works.

Tried it. Not working.
"The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occured (3194)."

Well, that was scary ... I updated my iTunes and then tried restoring again. At first it went further than the last time (when i got error 3194) and then stopped, gave error 11 this time. It made the iPhone freeze on plugin to iTunes image. I plugged the USB cable out, turned off the device, turn it on again and still frozen. Then I plugged the USB cable again, tried restoring again and again it gave error 3194, but my device is back to where it was, untouched I hope,

That's too bad. It looks like apple isn't signing 5.0.1. I guess you will have to wait to update until a untethered jailbreak comes out. (Tethered jailbeaks are a PAIN)
