I.m trying to jailbreak the ipod 3g 4.2.1 when i download the firmware link and save to my desktop the redsnow app is not finding it its looking for a ipsw extension file and that wasnt in the download

Make sure you don't use safari or internet explorer to download the iPSW. Try http://google.com/chrome
