Free iPad iPhone iPod Touch Jailbreak Support > Absinthe 2.0.4 hangs at the end of the process

I'm bummed! Absinthe 2.0.4 gets to the end of the process, blue bar
all the way across - and just hangs. 40 minutes later (after hitting
"jailbreak") it just sits there. iTunes goes away at the beginning of Jailbreak and never comes up again.

This is being run on a PowerMac G5 with OSX 10.5.8 trying to jailbreak an iPad 1 with 5.1.1 loaded. Previous OS was 4.2.1
(jailbroken) Upgraded to 5.1.1, downloaded Absinthe, backed up on iTunes, ran Absinthe - hung at end. Tried 3 times.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?? Wrong OSX version? Or is this another one of those - "you have to have an Intel CPU" issues?

Maybe I can get my old HP that runs Windows XP to work ... I just like using the Mac :-)

Updated iTunes on the old HP running Windows XP, ran Absinthe 2.0.4 - worked fine.
I guess if you only have a PowerMac with PowerPC CPU's you cannot complete the jailbreak using the existing Absinthe release. The PowerMac G5 with dual CPU's is a rugged unit, runs fast - but there's a reason you can buy them at cheap prices..... compatibility!
