Hi, I'm an iPad 3 user on version 5.1.1 and I just want to restore but I dont want to update to iOS 6. The redsnow team said that one cant re-restore if their ipad was updated OTA because of false images on ssh blobs which I didnt really understand. My ipad was updated OTA from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 please help! Please tell me if there is another alternative! I was thinking of updating to iOS 6 since there are guides on how to downgrade but I dont want to risk it if there is still a chance with my current situation.

I haven't followed those steps with the newest redsn0w, but you should try Luke's guide with tiny umbrella, linked below. If tiny umbrella doesn't do the trick for you, maybe the blob source Luke uses will be compatible with redsn0w instead.
